About Us
Nestled in the foothills, our small and cozy school has educated students in the Los Angeles Unified School District since 1917. Our Academy serves the families in and around the Sun Valley area. We currently educate less than 300 students, TK through 8th grade. Our first 8th grade class culminated on June 11, 2021!
Our span school offers students an achievement advantage because we are both small in capacity and a K-8 school. Our school provides education in English, social science, mathematics, and science in a small class ratio, which allows teachers to provide targeted small group instruction.
Our college awareness program, AVID, will increase high school retention, augment parental involvement, promote college attendance, and heighten financial and college/career awareness and understanding of post high school pathways to the plethora of college and career opportunities.
Throughout the year, Vinedale College Preparatory Academy operates a school advisory council, Local School Leadership Council, that discusses school concerns and creates activities for the entire school to enjoy. The school also offers counseling services on site for families in need of family guidance and support.
